Final thoughts

Congratulations class, for all of the wonderful work you have done on your project thus far. I'm very proud at how much we accomplished in a brief 6 sessions. I know that a few students have a few final things to complete on their Google Docs.

However, even though there is still some final editing to be done, I wanted to publish the projects so that parents and others can see the work that the students have done. The published slide shows can be viewed as follows:
  1. Omar's New Jersey presentation.
  2. Nadine's Massachusetts presentation.
  3. Javonna's Maryland presentation.
  4. Jennifer's North Carolina presentation.
  5. Jasmine's Georgia presentation.
  6. Angel's Delaware presentation
  7. Camae's South Carolina presentation.
  8. Russell's South Carolina presentation.
  9. Valerie's Virginia presentation.
  10. Jazmin's Pennsylvania presentation.
  11. Joshua's Connecticut presentation.
  12. Janiyah's Rhode Island presentation.
I hope the students will take the time to put the final touches on their presentation. They should be very proud of their work!!

Thank you for letting us be a part of this wonderful project.

Getting Some Facts

You can find some information about your colony and add it to the class spreadsheet. First, answer these questions:
  1. What year was it settled/founded?
  2. Where was the colony? Was it part of the New England Colonies, the Middle Colonies, or the Southern Colonies?
  3. Who was the founder of the colony?
  4. What were the major industries of the colony?

You can use some of these websites to help you find your information:
Finally, you can click here post your answers to our class spreadsheet. (To see the finished spreadsheet, click here)

Which Colony?

Our question is "What was each colonies role in the American Revolution?"

We found the names of the colonies on a map.

Which Colony would you like to research for the presentation?
